🌐 Transferring Your Domain to Ozzietel

Already have a domain registered elsewhere? Transferring it to Ozzietel is easy — and it allows you to manage your domain, hosting, and email services in one convenient place. Follow this guide to move your domain over seamlessly.

📝 Before You Begin #

Make sure the following are in place before starting your transfer:

• ✅ Your domain is older than 60 days (for global domains like .com, .net)
• ✅ The domain is unlocked at your current registrar
• ✅ You have access to the admin email address linked to the domain
• ✅ You’ve obtained the EPP/Auth code
• ✅ WHOIS privacy protection is disabled

🔐 Step 1: Unlock the Domain and Get Your EPP Code #

Log in to your current registrar and:

1. Locate the domain you want to transfer.
2. Ensure the domain is unlocked.
3. Request or view the EPP/Auth code.
4. Disable WHOIS privacy so Ozzietel can verify the domain via email.

📧 The EPP code may be sent to your admin email or be visible in your dashboard.

🚚 Step 2: Initiate the Transfer with Ozzietel #

1. Visit https://ozzietel.com.au/cart.php?a=add&domain=transfer
2. Click Domains → Transfer Domain.
3. Enter your domain name and click Transfer.
4. Enter the EPP code when prompted.
5. Continue through checkout to finalise the transfer.

💳 Most domain transfers include a 1-year renewal upon completion.
🇦🇺 Note: Australian domains (e.g., .com.au, .net.au) do not require a 1-year renewal during transfer. You’ll retain your existing expiry date.

✉️ Step 3: Approve the Transfer via Email #

1. Check the admin email associated with the domain.
2. Look for a transfer approval email and click the confirmation link.
3. Approve the transfer.

⌛ Once approved, the domain transfer typically completes within 5–7 days, although .au domains often transfer much faster — sometimes within a few hours.

✅ Final Steps #

• You’ll receive a confirmation from Ozzietel once the transfer is complete.
• Log in to your Ozzietel Client Portal to manage your domain settings.
• Update your DNS records if you’re pointing the domain to a new server or hosting plan.
